In 2017, Domus has acquired a portfolio of 8 value-add properties comprising 1296 apartments located across 4 states in the US (Arizona, Utah, Oregon and Colorado). These are markets with some of the highest jobs and population growth trends in the US. Domus now owns and operates these assets.

 

Domus Multifamily Real Estate No.1 Fund offers investors:

  • repayment to investors an estimated 100% of their original investment in approximately 18 to 24 months
  • recurring income for the balance of the Fund’s term supported by positive long-term fundamentals of US multifamily real estate and further enhanced by the strengthening US economy
  • above market returns driven by an already proven value add strategy and underpinned by the high demand for rental apartments in the portfolio sub markets
  • an opportunity to benefit from historically low fixed rate US Government guaranteed long term debt (35 yrs), which is not readily accessible to individual investors and which is only available for large scale US multifamily asset

In February 2021, Domus acquired a portfolio of 3 multifamily assets comprising 910 individual apartments situated in sub-markets of Phoenix, Arizona and Nashville, Tennessee being known and described as The Madison in Mesa, Phoenix, AZ, Highlands at the Lake in Nashville, TN and Bellevue West in Nashville, TN. The acquisitions closed in February 2021.

What is Memory Care?

Memory Care is a distinct form of long-term skilled nursing that specifically caters to patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other types of memory impairments. These specialized facilities are a need-based product, specifically designed to cater to individuals aged 65+ with memory impairments, such as Alzheimer’s.

Investment Opportunity

Responding to the expected rise of people living with Alzheimer’s disease, Memory Care US is offering investors an opportunity to invest in this asset class given the current lack of new and state of the art facilities in the US market today needed to absorb the projected growth of those suffering from memory impairment.

Investment Strategy

The initial 3 recently constructed memory care assets were purchased by the Fund on completion. These are in:

  1. San Antonio, TX, acquired in May 2017;
  2. Leesburg VA, acquired March 2018;
